Austen Walker is a second-year Ph.D. student in Latin American History and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Their current projects deal with abortion, infanticide, Indigeneity, and the environment in the Spanish viceroyalty of New Granada. For their dissertation, they’re exploring environmental histories of reproduction and sexuality in colonial Latin America.
