Travis Meyer is a PhD candidate in Latin American history, working under the advisorship of Matthew Restall and Martha Few. His dissertation examines how the religious traditions, lived experiences, and social identities of ecclesiastics and Mayas in colonial Guatemala contributed to the creation of the Maya Catholicisms presented in K’iche’ and Kaqchikel-language Catholic texts.
