I’m a dual title PhD in History and African American Studies. I got a B.A. in History at Gettysburg College and a M.A. in History at the University of Kentucky.
I am a historian of 19th Century America with a particular interest in Southern history during the Civil War Era. My Master’s Thesis examined the Freedmen’s Bureau administration of land reform in Reconstruction era South Carolina. I am currently exploring a dissertation topic relating to the intersection of disability and race in the 19th century.
