Giving to the Center

The Richards Center's many programs are made possible by the support of private individuals who share our commitment to Civil War-era research, education, and learning. Donations help fund undergraduate internships, dissertation support grants, and faculty research, as well as outreach programs like public lecture series, battlefield study tours, and workshops for schoolteachers.

By supporting the Richards Center, our donors play an invaluable role in making it the leader in Civil War era research, teaching, public-school curriculum development, and policy studies related to slavery and freedom in the United States and around the world.
